Why do not those who call themselves Church Warden seek into these matters. While I leave it to them to determine why. (This is very badly written and is an approximation of what it says). The Grey Seas Under
by Farley Mowatt ISBN-58574-240-6 |
Book The perilous rescue missions of a North Atlantic salvage tug. (A GOOD READ) There was a famous (at least famous in seafaring lore) history of a Harry Brushett from Newfoundland Canada who captained the old salvage tug Foundation Franklin out of Canada from about 1940 to 1947 or so. He plays a major role in Farley Mowats historical novel about salvage in the North Atlantic, "Grey Seas Under". |

I am currently researching my branch of the Brushett tree and trying to locate some
information on a George Brushett. He was identified as being a member of the "Society for the Propogation of the Gospel in Foreign Parts" in Bonavista Newfoundland in 1792. My research identifies the society as one established by Henry VIII in the 1700's to spread the Anglican gospel over the world. |

Among those who've taken part at Tunbridge Wells is Fred Brushett who's been able to speak in his own film almost for the first time about the horrors he witnessed at the Belsen Concentration Camp. As a young soldier in 1945 Mr. Brushett was among the first British troops to reach the camp. Others have written poems or undertaken photographic projects. You can see examples of the results of some patients' projects on their website |
